Mindtree: 2012 joining letters dispatched in batches

MindTree has started dispatching joining letters in batches. Some students have received joining letters and expected to join company by 3rd September, 2012 

The joining letters for other is expected in future although there is no mention of exact dates.

Akamai has benefited from the growth in cloud-based computing and services. The company makes equipment and software that its customers use to improve the delivery of video and other content online.

During its fiscal-second quarter, the company reported a profit of $44 million, or 24 cents a share, on revenue of $331 million, compared with earnings of $48 million, or 25 cents a share, on $319 million in sales in the year-ago period.

Akamai’s Application and Cloud Performance Solutions are designed to improve the operation of highly-dynamic applications used by enterprises to connect with their employees, suppliers and customers. Its Application and Cloud Performance Solutions include Web Application Accelerator and IP Application Accelerator. Its Web Application Accelerator service is designed to improve the performance of Web-based applications through a combination of routing and connection optimization, dynamic caching and compression of content. This service is appropriate for companies involved in technology, business services, travel and leisure, manufacturing and other industries where there is a focus on Internet-based communication with remote customers, suppliers and franchisees. Enterprise customers use the Web Application Accelerator service to run applications such as online airline reservations systems, training tools, customer relationship management and human resources applications. Akamai’s Internet protocol (IP) Application Accelerator solution is designed to optimize the performance, availability and real-time sensitivity associated with IP-enabled applications delivered over Internet-related protocols, such as SSL, IPSec, UDP and FTP. 

The company also offers services in Video and Software Solutions and Web Site Optimization.

Money"tering" our Recruiters: MinDtree post Rs. 89 Crs Profit

Software services exporter Mindtree reported slightly better-than-expected profit growth in its first quarter earnings and said it expects to match NASSCOM's full year industry growth guidance of 11-14%, despite challenging environment.

The Bangalore-based company's net profit for April-June more than doubled year-on-year (29% quarter-on-quarter) to Rs 89 crore. Quarterly revenue, however rose a little lower-than-expected 36% (7% sequentially) to Rs 563 crore.

Analysts on average had expected MindTree to report a net profit of Rs 84 crore on revenue of Rs 573 crore. 

MindTree's net profit in US dollar terms rose 116% (21% quarter-on-quarter) to USD 16.7 million, while revenue rose 14% (0.4% sequentially) to USD 105.5 million. more details here
