Alumni @ Accenture Shares his Experience

Rakesh Nadgir, our alumnus joined Accenture in 2009 and 3 years; currently at charlotte, USA; and serving the Client bank of America
Hello Sir,
Glad to hear Accenture campus recruitment at SDM has grown and is growing exponentially. Looking back 4 years ago where we were recruited, around 10 in number as far I remember, in a pool campus of 1500 students to 200+ students last year at our very own campus makes a great achievement.
Please find my inputs to your questions:
1. How is Accenture for beginners?
[Rakesh] Accenture can provide a real solid platform to the beginners; due to the huge number of options in different technologies there is an opportunity to
be the latest in market. This comes by the globally acclaimed clients Accenture is having. Global brands need the latest for competition and it will definitely be a great platform to work for such global leaders in various sectors like finance, insurance, auto sector, retails, telecommunications, energy etc.
2. Is it comparable to companies such as Infy/TCS?
[Rakesh] Yes, it is comparable to Infy/TCS in every aspect. Even you can see in daily newspapers, how it competes with Infy/TCS/CTS/IBM.

3. What you feel about career prospectives both long and short term in Accenture?
[Rakesh] Let me put like this, long term-ofcourse its a great company, I have seen resources who are 10+ experience and still happy to be here; short term- I can say whoever goes for next opportunity will always have a background of atleast 2 big brands 1. accenture  and 2. the client. This itself gives a weightage and who have shifted are in great positions and some even will to come back.We call it as home coming ceremony:)
Looking for another double century from SDM. All the best to all the SDMites!!
Thanks,
Rakesh
